Where is the Harmony of Man and Nature?

The universe and its contents are created by God the Almighty. No doubt that nature has its own way to arrange for all the elements are in balanced condition. All living things, both large and small have a role in each function and role of these in turn form a wonderful balance. 

Nature provides balance in the lives of living beings on the face of this earth, if there is no balance then what would become of our lives . "You shall not look at the creation of God, Most Gracious something that is not balanced. So take a look at over and over and over, there you see something that is not balanced. " (Surat al-Mulk: paragraph 3).

Human Role

The role of human beings are rational creatures, human nature plays a central role in this. With the ability minds, utilize and manage human nature and its contents to make ends meet. But because it is not perfect, so when men do interfere with the natural, sometimes it is happening is the disruption of the balance of nature. When humans take over control of nature, some good things might happen. But it was the emergence of the risk of bad things that will disrupt the natural balance in conducting the process. Often the nature of damage to the human price paid when he tried to improve the quality of life. In the end, to how expensive people want to pay that price. People tend to always be ambiguous on the nature. 

Nature is seen as "the giver" and "enemy". Poverty = Dilemma Nature

So, with such wonderful potential of our nation, did not rule out threats that come both from within and from outside will destroy our natural, by conducting large-scale exploitation without regard to environmental sustainability and to make the theft of our natural products. And benefit from all that can only be enjoyed by a few people, whereas we can only enjoy the result of all of them, namely floods, erosion, drought and so forth. As a country with such abundant natural wealth, it is surprising that Indonesia is now listed as a country that is under the line of countries that are under the millions of residents are unemployed.

Based on the 2003 population census, the population of Indonesia is approximately 220 million people, and approximately 48.8 million people live around forest areas and around them less able to identify, explore, deploy and direct the potential that in his environment, both natural, human, and social. The result is that they are not able to overcome the poverty that afflicts from generation to generation.

Poverty or social-economic conditions of people living around forests is alarming cause some people dare to make a practice of violations in the forest. Where is the Harmony of Man and Nature?

World Earth Day Celebration 22 April 2010 in Sorong City, West Papua Indonesia

We often feel the heat was terrible, the soil and the air feels hot. If likened to human skin, the Earth may have wrinkles. Our earth is quite old, he was around ± 4.6 billion years old. All sorts of events and upheavals occur in every time the rotation of the earth, especially concerning our environment. In circumstances that are quite old, the earth we still have to bear and endure all kinds of environmental damage both on land, sea or air.

If likened to our earth like a grandfather / grandmother is old, stooped, and was no longer able to perform heavy work. That's how our earth, the earth is to support the entire life of living beings is no longer able to provide comfort and a convenient shield for the occupants of this blue planet. The mountains are more and more of leveled, forests felled the more, the entrails of the earth more incentive to be drained, the environmental damage was widespread, if so do not ever wonder if you have more and more and frequent disasters and calamities occur in our earth .

A Brief History of Earth Day 

The Earth we also commemorated every year, not because of our earth's birthday but because as a form of concern over this blue planet is getting old but increasingly heavy burden of supporting all kinds of environmental damage. Earth Day is celebrated by all citizens of the world each of 22 April. Earth Day is celebrated on the initiative of Gaylord Nelson in 1970. Environmental degradation occurs everywhere, many people who oppose environmental destruction. Earth Day Celebration in Sorong 

As a form of full support and implementation of the simultaneous action of all citizens in the world, the Student Association of Nature Lovers Sorong is facilitated by the Center for Conservation of Natural Resources West Papua not want to lag in implementing the World Earth Day Celebration on 22 April 2010 . World Earth Day Celebration with the theme this time his "Clean My Earth Cool My Soul" was centered in the coastal tourist area "Sorong Berlin Wall." Activities are followed by participants who numbered his ± 200 people who came from among students and both junior high and high school teachers city this Sorong (High School State 1, High School State N 3, Public Vocational Secondary School 1, Public Vocational Secondary School 2, State Junior High Schools 1, State Junior High Schools 9) and co-sponsored by the City Sorong, Conservation International Indonesia (CII), Sorong, and Indosat conducting cleaning garbage disposal which is a remnant of the visitors who arrived in the tourist areas are also the garbage that comes from the merchants cafe-cafe tents which are along the coastal areas of the Berlin Wall Sorong.

Berlin Wall Slide is a coastal tourist resort of the most popular and visited by citizens of the city of Sorong. In addition to tourism areas which are not charged or free, Berlin wall area was quite beautiful panorama. Stretch of white sand and blue sea, we too can see the sunset from this region, besides that the visitors were spoiled with seafood such as grilled fish, crab, shrimp and so forth as well as snacks, light snacks provided by the merchants cafe tent-cafes, so not surprisingly Sorong region of the Berlin Wall became a place young people get together Sorong.

However, from all kinds of beauty and attraction of this beach of the Berlin Wall was storing various kinds of threats of environmental damage that would damage the image of the beach tourist area of the Berlin Wall itself. One of the most striking thing is garbage. Everywhere waste is problematic that have never been to overcome. Still the lack of public awareness of the meaning of cleanliness and beauty are the main cause of contamination of the waste area of the Berlin Wall. Based on the results of the interviews and share questionnaire committed by members Student Association of Nature Lovers Sorong to travelers and traders around the beach area of the Berlin Wall, turned out 60% of the waste contributed by the visitors and 40% by the merchants around the Berlin Wall.

When a number of questions posted to the visitors and traders about their reasons for littering is still a lack of landfills around the beach area of the Berlin Wall. Obviously this concerns us together in dealing with this waste problem which is increasingly become our environmental dilemma . In addition, this also can become our common evaluation in addressing the waste problem.

Activities opened by the Mayor of City Sorong, represented by the Head of Department of Labor is also conducting City Sorong signing banners care cleaning action of the Berlin Wall. The objectives of the signing of the Berlin Wall banners hygiene care is to all the participants and visitors and traders around the beach area of the Berlin Wall Slide. "Action of the World Earth Day Celebration April 22, 2010 this is the first time held in the city of City Sorong. And this is quite boastSorong is also must be our collective attention. In addition, the City Government of City Sorong are expecting support from the community, NGOs, Community Organizations, Nature Lovers and the stakeholders in addressing the problem of garbage in this city of City Sorong. This activity can indeed be considered a success, because these activities can run smoothly and what the objectives of this activity has been achieved. But behind all that of course there are still many obstacles and barriers in the implementation of these activities. Among them are still there are some schools that do not want to support its participation to be asked to participate joined in the action like this with all sorts of reasons. Surely this is a concern we share, not events like this are positive and can establish and cultivate the soul of conservation and loving environment to their students as the younger generation and the successor to the nation. We strongly deplore this, and also give special appreciation and gratitude as much as possible to all those who participated to help and support so that the World Earth Day Celebration is to run successfully and smoothly.

Hopefully with the World Earth Day Celebration April 22, 2010 was to grow the conservation souls and loving environment to us and can increase our awareness of the importance of environmental hygiene in order to realize our Earth clean and comfortable for our lives.
